I got married in 1969, and worked in many nursing homes and got burned out on that because of the shortage of help, more work was added to the ones that did work.In 1994 I decieded to look for work elsewhere and started working at a "C" store. I made it to asst.manager and held that position for yrs but with cateract forming on my eyes it was getting harder to see the computer. Then they came up with scanning everything and a new program, so I decieded it was time to get away from that. I still work at the same store, but the minight shift by myself. I clean everything, restock, wait on customers who pump gas or want "groceries" and just about anything else that needs to be done.. I still have the cateracts (no insurance to take care of it) but am doing alright for now.
I have three children, 30, 27, 23, and also have three grandchildren,8, 5, 3.
It's been a good life, som things I'd lov to change, but thats watr under th bridge
Well the cataracts have been taken care of so now I have 20/20 vision which I haven't had since I was 5 or 6. Its fun to hear people say "Put your glasses on and you could see better." I haven't worn glasses now for 4 mo. and I am still trying to get used to the different looking me.
I also noticed in the original comments there were quite a few misspellings. I am sorry about that, but even when you know where the keys are on a typewriter, if you can't "see" them your sunk.
Have just recently been in the hospital at least once a month sice Jan. Then it was for two bleeding ulcers. But in Feb. I went into the hosp. for bypass surgery on my right leg because there was no circulation in there. Well because of diabetes I developed an infection in the groin incision. After 4 weeks of I.V. antibiotics, I thought everything was ok. NOT. I developed a Blood infection which made the knee incision come open. From there it went completely down hill. On Mothers Day, May 8th, it was dicovered that the tissue in my leg was dying, so at 4:00 that day I had to have my leg amputated above the knee. I have dealt with that pretty good because as many of you know my father lost one of his legs. It is the furture that looks kind of bleak right now. I have resolved to live one day at a time and leave what I can't see or understand in the Lords hands.
I would love to hear from old friends and classmates, since I can't drive anymore and the computer seems to be my only link with the outside world beyond Albion, Mi.

Webmaster Note: Sadly Nila passed away of a sudden and unexpected heart attack on Nov 19, 2010 only 5 hours after burying her mother, Betsey Krantz.
