Loaded with indecision I stayed home a year, went to EMC a year, was a nurse's aide. worked at Willow Run Bomber Plant a couple of years (making B-24s),lived on a Siskyou mountainside for a few months, joined the Navy and went to war as a Navy Corpswave, nursing, came home and went to commercial art school for 3 years, worked in Houston, So. Bend and St. Louis doing fashion artm met and married my Italian husband, raised a son and daughter, of whom I'm very proud and who in turn are raising my 3 bright and shining and smart grandchildren (I do have bragging rights, yes?) My one big regret is that for 28 of those years I was "out of the fold" but finally God retrieved me, for which I am grateful, and put me to work with a lovely church family. He also gave me a job with a Lutheran publishing house for the last 20 years of my employment. My husband died in 1981, and I retired 11 years ago at 71....God is good!!!
