Married for 27 years to Kenneth A Krohn PhD. Divorced 1995. I do research studies on infectious disease pregnancy complications, PID, and aquisition of STDs in women. Not much time for hobbies although I do like singing in the choir, reading, cooking, and international travel. I have a significant other who is a Professor of Robotics at Carnegie Mellon University. I'm planning to retire in about 5 years when my last?? federal research grant is finished. It is 5 years later (2013) and I did retire in 2011 to Bend OR. As I lived in CA and WA I drove through OR many times and decided to check it out. It has won my heart. Many beautiful places that are not well known. My son is turning 40 this fall and is transitioning between a "pay the bills" job to full time wine maker (www.longroadwinery.com). I love my retirement. I keep house, cook, sew, and read. I belong to the local Reform Jewish congregation, volunteer at the library, and take classes from the U of O Osher class program. Lots to do and I can do it slow.
