After taking early retirement from Marathon Oil Company, I got retreaded and am currently working for a Financial Planning/Life and Health Insurance Agency in Tyler. It's a one girl office and I love it, for a change. Got my college degree in 1991 through Southwestern Adventist University's Adult Degree Program. (Super program--highly recommend it for other "late bloomers") Enjoyed the educational achievement so much, went on to get my Master's degree from the University of Texas, Tyler in Communication and Journalism. Very satisfying to achieve a long-time goal even if it was late in life. I have one grandchild, Emily Weaver, residing in Cleburne, TX--that I never get to see enough of, and a grandson is expected in late May or early June. Just after our class reunion in 1999 (March, 2000) I was diagnosed with breast cancer and went through the whole nine-yards of annointing, surgery, chemo and radiation. Just received a clean bill of health from my oncologist and thanking God for His healing touch.
