.I attended EMC for 3 years, then I worked for Dr. Harry Anderson in Grand Blanc, Michigan, I moved to Loma Linda, California where my sister Theresa and I took the Medical Technology course that we finished in September 1951. I married Raymond Mayor June 14, 1955 at the White Memorial nurses chapel. I worked at a Lab Tech while Ray attended Medical school. We had our son David March 8, 1955. We moved to Pontiac, MI where I worked for a while. Laura was born March 22, 1957 while we lived inb Seattle , Ray was in the army for 2 years. We moved back to Pontiac, and I worked again for several years, while Ray finished his residency. Then I became very busy with the two children and worked in the Community Service Center for many years. What I really enjoyed was being following up the interests and biving bible studies. and the joy of seeing people giving their hearts to Jesus and being baptised. When Ray reitred we moved to Berrien Springs into lovely home on the St. Joseph river in 1995. We have traveled to Europe several times, Africa, Orient, and Australia and New Zeland. May God Bless you. 01-13-2004 Wilma had Inflammatory cancer of the breast in 1992 treated by chemo, surgery, radiation and chemo. She had 22 positive lymph nodes. (75%of of women die within 2 years of this DX.) She did very good and we traveled as mentioned above. Jan 2000 a MRI showed she had metastasis to her spine. She was give Taxol IV chemo till Dec., then Gemzar IV, and then Xeloda orally. (on chemo 3 1/2 years) She had minimal side effects, till Feb 2000, when the neuropathy started to get worse. OT and PT helped at first but then she started to get weaker and needed more nursing care so we moved her into a nursing home for 3 weeks. She received excellent care but needed O2 for a week before she died November 15, 2003. I thank God for the 11 1/2 years she lived from her diagnosis and that she had minimal pain. She is resting awaiting Christ's return. Ray
