Rose travelled widely throughout the United States. She wrote educational nutrition books for children. She was a coauthor of many journal articles, and contributed to the nutrition book for the Seventh-Day Adventist Dietetic Association, as well, as serving as an officer for the Dayton and Ohio Dietetic Associations. She worked on numerous area-wide committees in health and nutrition education.

Rose's family, her children and grandchildren, and husband gave her immense pleasure to which she gave each quality time. Her love for them was beyond measure. Her parents and sisters and their children were very important to her, and getting a chance to be with them was a source of inner renewal. She loved music, flowers. birds, butterflies, and she loved to point them out on nature walks or travelling in a car.

She was a team member all the way. An example was her co-research and dissertation with her husband, Joseph, in 1982.
