STOLZ, Ann Esther - of Davison, age 63, passed away August 29, 2011 at Brian's House Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Chaplain Gene Smith officiating. The family will welcome visitors from 11 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday. Ann was born in Lansing, MI on April 7, 1948, daughter of Wilbert and Elaine (Ceasar) Bush. She graduated from Adelphian Academy in Holly, MI in 1966, and attended Mott Community College. She married Joseph W. Stolz on March 21, 1970 in Owosso, MI. Ann was employed in the title insurance industry as a closing agent for 39 years. She was active in the Women's Council of Realtors, the Davison area Chamber of Commerce and was on the board of directors of Quality Living Systems, her daughter's group home. She also enjoyed volunteering for the Crim Foundation and was a group leader in the Crim Training Program. Ann's interests in life were travel and running. She and her husband traveled extensively in Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean. Ann ran many road races in the Flint area and beyond. She ran the Crim Race seven times. Her greatest and proudest accomplishment was running the Disney World Marathon in 2010. Ann is survived by her husband, Joseph and her daughter, Sara; sister, Kathleen (Douglas) Kolmodin; brother, Wesley (Cheryl) Bush, nieces, Julie (Tim) Slade and Jeanette Morecroft; nephew, Dr. Douglas (Linda) Kolmodin. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Carol. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Brian's House Hospice.
